Zincodic DG is a blend of chemical additives which form a water based and diluted product of exceptional versatility and safety. Zincodic DG has a pH of >12 and is inhibited against attack on aluminium, magnesium and light alloys. It contains an anti-corrosive agent for the protection of ferrous metal surfaces. Zincodic DG is biodegradable, non-flammable and in itself non-pollutant. Zincodic DG carries the SABS mark 1828 which certifies that it is approved for cleaning in food manufacturing plants.
Zincodic DG has many uses ranging from cleaning of heavy grease and oil in the bilges of vessels, on truck engines, chassis or road film, on tarpaulins, tar specks on vehicle bodies, greasy kitchen air filters, vinyl upholstery, floors, tiles, walls, stoves, refrigerators and windows or glass surfaces. Applications will be found in food processing plants, as well as heavy industry, the marine industry, transport, engineering shops, commercial undertakings, hotels, laundries, institutions and for general building maintenance.
DIRECTION FOR USE
With the wide variety of uses and soils where Zincodic DG will be found effective it is not possible to be specific or to cover every possibility or dilution rate. Zincodic DG may be used neat for stubborn soils or stains or at dilutions of 1 and up to 10 parts water for medium duty. For lightly soiled surfaces dilutions of up to 20 parts of water will apply.
Zincodic DG may be applied by brush, mop, rag or spray or may be used in conjunction with high pressure spray equipment either cold or hot. It is also highly suitable for use in steam cleaners where the water softening properties of Zincodic DG will reduce the rate of scale build-up in the coil.
Zincodic DG should be applied at the required dilution to the soiled surface and allowed a contact time of 10 to 15 minutes during which time agitation will assist the cleaning action. The released soils should then be flushed or wiped away leaving a clean surface. The use of warm water for manual applications will speed the reaction time
